Annette Funicello (born Annette Funicello) was an American actress, singer. Her most famous role was as one of the original "Mouseketeers" from the "Mickey Mouse Club.' Her singing career started as an young adolescent. Annette, who was born and was raised by Italian immigrants from Utica in her early years was a timid person. After deciding to start working within the field her first step was to start doing dance and performed. The mid-1950s saw her gain a significant amount of recognition for her appearances as a character in "Disney" comedy sketches. Annette shed her Disney image when she became an adult, and started acting in adult roles. As one of first actresses, she is credited with introducing the "beach" party genre. She appeared on films including "How to Stuff A Wild Bikini.' Pajama Party. The Beach Party,and Beach Party. She also continued to release albums of her own music periodically. Annette had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1992 and passed away from the disease in 2013.
