Jessie J
Jessica Ellen Cornish (also known as Jessie J) is an English performer and musician. Jessie gained fame early for her distinct style of music, which incorporates soul vocals with hip-hop, pop and electropop. Her awards include the 2011 Critics' Choice Brit Award and the BBC's Sound of 2011 as well as several nominations. She started her career at just eleven when she was in the production of "Whistle Down the Wind' by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. As of 2002, she was featured for"The Late Sleepers," a "National Youth Music Theatre" stage production "The Late Sleepers." She came into prominence in 2011, with her first album of studio work 'Who You Are,' which came out on February 28. It immediately became a hit. Within the first week the album was sold out to 105,000 people in the UK as well as 34,000 in the US. The album debuted as #2 in the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on the US Billboard 200. Jessie is also known for her work in the field of charity and participates in charitable organizations like 'Children in Need,' and "Comic Relief."
